Ultimate Blog Party 2009

I want to welcome all of the partiers from Ultimate Blog Party ’09. I’m Cindy and we have a lot of fun talking about the High School Musical movies and stars. I am a mom, music teacher and drama coach-so my relationship with High School Musical is pretty easy to figure out. I work hard to keep this site fun, clean and not too gossipy. I love receiving comments from my readers and I am honored that so many kids, tweens and teens visit regularly. If you, or someone in your house loves all things HSM please subscribe to my blog and visit often. Leave me a comment and let me know which HSM movie is your favorite.

If you aren’t sure what the Ultimate Blog Party is all about and you are over 18 years old click here. If you want to win great prizes and you are over 18 years old click here. I know I’d love to win prize #INTL 27, #INTL 19, #113 or #81. Of course, I’d be happy with any prize for a mom of teens.

Here is a quick HSM tid bit for today…Text ASHLEY to 50505 to get instant updates from Ashley Tisdale. Regular texting charges apply.

No Matt Prokop in HSM 4!

Many High School Musical fans expected that Matt Prokop’s character Jimmy “the Rocket” Zara  was the heir apparent to take over the lead role in the next High School Musical. According to reports from Just Jared and The Hollywood Gossip that is not the case. Disney seems to have decided to take High School Musical 4 in a different direction and Prokop isn’t on that school bus. We’ll just have to wait and see if HSM 4 can live up to its predecessors or if Disney should have stopped while it was ahead. I think this could get interesting.

Speed of Light

Calling all North American Corbin fans! This Tuesday is the big day. Corbin’s new album “Speed of Light” will be on store shelves in the US and Canada on Tuesday.
Here is a link to a video of Corbin in the studio 2/3/09 writing one of the songs on the new album. This is a link to a Myspace interview Corbin did about “Speed of Light”. Album release dates for other parts of the world include 3/12 Argentina, 3/24 Brazil, 4/16 United Kingdom and Europe, and 6/10 in Japan. If you get this album please let me know what you think of it!

Ashley on Cosmo

PhotobucketAshley Tisdale is on the cover of the April ’09 Cosmopolitan magazine. She is looking great and seems to be trying to break out of the High School Musical box. In the accompanying article she promotes her sophomore album “Guilty Pleasure”, which comes out this spring. Tisdale says that “Guilty Pleasure” will be sexier and edgier than “Headstrong” was. Hopefully it will balance the fact that she is a 23 year old young woman but her fan base still has an average age of about 14.

High School Musical 4

Disney has finally quelled the rumors and published a press release acknowledging that High School Musical 4 will begin production later this year with the premiere on The Disney Channel set for 2010. Installment number four in the franchise will be written by Peter Barsocchini, who wrote the first three movies. Also returning are executive producers Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush. The name left off this list is that of Kenny Ortega’s. There is no mention of Ortega in the press release and he is currently in pre-production for next year’s much anticipated Footloose.

High School Musical 4 will feature an all new cast. The plot will focus around the East High Wildcats and their crosstown rivals the West High Knights, as well as a classic love triangle.
